The Role of the Advisors
- Promotion of the Programme in the region she/he is responsible for and in which she/he operates;
- Distribution of promotional materials through their e-mail, regular mail or fax directories;
- Meetings with NGOs and citizens in the resource centres and various sites in the region, gathering places of the small-size NGOs;
- Having received the project-proposals from FOSIM, each Advisor will contact the applicants offering them assistance, if necessary (they must not re-write the projects for them, they may only facilitate the process);
- If the project or the organisation does not meet the criteria, it shall be the duty of the Advisors to submit a report to the FOSIM Office thereof;
- Will contact with communities, groups, NGOs in order to
help in developing some potentials, which are not yet ready initiatives to
be financed by the open call;
- Will facilitate various community groups in order to
reach to an initiative, as they can apply in the second round;
- Discover existing and new
initiatives and individuals;
- Perform random visits to the projects;
- During the implementation of the projects, the Advisors
shall perform monitoring and assistance functions.
- Monitoring will be done based on indicators of the
programme, to help FOSIM follow the progress of supported initiatives,
including the appropriate spending of the funds.
- Assistance to initiatives will include – facilitation
of discussions, providing independent look, advise on how to improve the
initiative, help learning and self-evaluation, help in identifying needed
training or designing the network training’s based on.
Allocation of responsibilities among the advisors
The criteria for the allocation of responsibilities among
the Advisors are the following:
- region/municipality;
- field of expertise;
- their capacities;
- knowing particular language(s);
- ethnic background;
- experience and knowledge of the particular region and NGOs acting there.
